Go Serve Share is a family-run Christian ministry dedicated to loving people like Jesus by answering God's call to serve as missionaries.
The Griggs family is embarking on an incredible journey of faith as we join God’s transformative work in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, specifically in the vibrant city of Cancun. Our missionary trip is unique in that we are addressing the community's spiritual needs as well as its pressing physical needs, such as access to clean water and electricity.
This bustling hub attracts 8 million visitors annually, but just a few blocks away from the stunning white sand beaches and luxurious resorts of the "Zona Hotelera" lies the heart of the local community, "El Centro." Here, the stark contrast reveals a deeper story, one we feel called to engage with and uplift. You will find extreme poverty with no running water or electricity a few miles inland. Yet, there is a great openness to the gospel. This is our chance to live out our faith and love like Jesus! Helping those in most profound need elevate their standard of living opens up opportunities to meet their spiritual needs as well! This will grow the Christian community there and help them find assurance of a fantastic life in heaven someday.
In January 2025, we will begin our missions training at the YWAM-Cancun base. We will dive into Spanish language studies and explore the community's pressing needs alongside our ministry partners. Our family is not just ready but eager to connect with the residents and understand how we can best serve them.
Christine brings over 20 years of experience as an ER Nurse, having previously served on short-term missions in Uganda and the Philippines. Matthew, a dedicated College Professor and Pastor since 2010, has also contributed his skills through short-term missions in Mexico and the Philippines. We will embark on this adventure with our four children - ages 13, 11, 8, and 3. We are excited and expectant to witness God’s work in action. We can’t wait to see how God will shape our lives and the lives of those we encounter.
